Although it's not the first time we have heard it, and even after a rename/rebrand, Adobe is finally letting Flash slip peacefully away into the night. By 2020, nearly all browsers will no longer be supporting Flash by default. Also, there are currently user approval concessions in place for some browsers - which will be a nuisance to users if your website has a Flash component.
It has been a great journey and allowed web developers and designers to create engaging content several years, but now HTML5 and JavaScript have stolen all the limelight.
iOS never supported Flash, so it has always been on the back foot with display restrictions on some devices. The user experience must be cross-platform and device responsive - always and Flash could never achieve that.
Brilliant has pretty much eradicated Flash from supporting websites and services now, but it's interesting to see so many websites we use which are still dependent on Flash.
